One backpack for the whole day

Some days need more than a laptop bag. You leave home in the morning, move around the city, work or study, train, shower, and maybe don’t get back until late.

The LudoSport Backpack was created for exactly this kind of day.

It gives you enough room for clothing and training gear, while keeping shoes, laptop, personal items and smaller accessories organized in separate areas. The layout is flexible, so you can use the same backpack differently depending on what you’re carrying.

Description

Built around what you actually carry

The starting point for this backpack was not the number of pockets we could add. It was deciding where different objects should go and how easily you should be able to reach them.

  • The main compartment takes care of the larger items: clothing, training gear, a towel or whatever else your day requires.
  • A dedicated padded compartment keeps a laptop up to 15.6″ separate from the rest of the load.
  • Two zipped pockets run along the inside of the main compartment. They are intentionally the same size, so there is no prescribed way to use them. Shampoo and flip-flops, cables and chargers, gloves or training accessories — you decide what makes sense for you.
  • There is also a smaller zipped pocket near the opening, useful for things such as your wallet or phone.

Large separated compartment

A large compartment for shoes or other gear can be opened directly from the outside so, for example, you don’t need to go through the main compartment every time you change footwear.

Instead of using a rigid box that permanently takes up part of the backpack, the compartment is flexible. When the compartment is empty, that space is available in the main compartment.

A design choice we believe you’ll like if you use the backpack for different purposes during the week.

The things you need on the way stay within reach

The large front pocket is completely separate from the main compartment and is designed for the things you may want during the journey.

It comfortably fits an hardback book and can also hold items such as a powerbank, earphones, tickets, a notebook, snacks or other small everyday objects.

There is also an external mesh side pocket and a lateral compartment for a bottle or anything else you prefer to access without opening the backpack.

Made to be carried, not just packed

A lot of equipment is only useful if carrying it remains practical.

The backpack has padded, adjustable shoulder straps and an adjustable sternum strap to help keep the load stable while walking or cycling. The back panel has light padding, and the shoulder straps include attachment loops that can be used for small accessories.

The proportions — 50 × 35 × 18 cm — keep the backpack relatively narrow and vertical, which makes it easier to use while walking through the city or travelling on public transport.

Empty weight is 915 g.

Work, training, travel — the layout doesn’t decide for you

A typical day might include:

  • laptop and charger;
  • phone, wallet and keys;
  • book or notebook;
  • powerbank and cables;
  • training clothes;
  • shoes;
  • gloves or other sports equipment;
  • towel;
  • shower products;
  • flip-flops;
  • 1 L water bottle.

The same layout also works when your plans change. Remove the training equipment and there is more space for a short trip. Leave the shoes at home and their compartment disappears into the main volume. You can organize the backpack around your own day.

Durable, water-resistant fabric

The outer fabric was selected for everyday durability and resistance to water.

The backpack is water-resistant rather than waterproof. It is suitable for normal exposure to rain and splashes, but the zippered construction is not designed to provide a completely sealed bag or protection during immersion. We prefer to be precise about that distinction.

Italian Design, international feedbacks

The backpack was originall designed by LamaDiLuce in Italyfor LudoSport practitioners training worldwide. The first version was used for around three years. That gave us enough time to understand which parts worked well in everyday use and which details could be improved. Those lessons went into the second generation, which was then used and refined for a further six months before release.

Why LudoSport?

Their requirements are unusually demanding for a backpack: a complete uniform, shoes, protective equipment, personal items, shower gear, water and, quite often, a laptop all need to travel together. And many athletes don’t simply drive from home to training. They walk, cycle or use public transport during the same day.
